A major utility accident occurred near house number 47 on Kirov Street in Omsk. As a result, nearby houses were left without hot water, and passing cars were also damaged.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. local time. Due to a ruptured pipe, water flows reached the roadway, blocking the circulation of pedestrians and cars.

According to the portal Om1.ru, a powerful pressure of boiling water mixed with pieces of asphalt and bricks shattered the windows of bus No. 20, which was moving along the road at that time.

“I fell under the current itself! Everything flew! There were about 10 people in the living room. He got wet, but it didn’t hurt anyone. Nobody complained. The window is tempered glass, it just collapsed,” the post quoted a transit driver as saying.

At the moment, specialists from the Thermal Company and Omsk RTS have eliminated the breakthrough and started repairs. Traffic is open on two lanes.

Since the beginning of this year, this is not the first major accident of a public service. Earlier, Zvezdova Street was flooded with boiling water. The prosecutor’s office was involved in monitoring the work of public services.
