The expert reported on the consequences of the 10th package of anti-Russian sanctions

The new sanctions package against the Russian Federation will not have the effect of a bomb exploding on the Russian economy. Moreover, it will become really difficult for Europeans to agree on new restrictions, said economic observer Natalia Karnova on Sputnik radio.
According to her, if there was an explosive effect, it was only after the first packages of restrictions because they went one after another. Moreover, the main reason for this was precisely the novelty for the Russian Federation in terms of the sanctions that appeared.
Now I would characterize the contents of the tenth package as follows: they scraped the bottom of the barrel. That is to say, everything that was agreed upon was seized and accepted in a crowd,” the expert pointed out.

Moreover, there were limits that prevented the adoption of radical proposals. For example, it turned out to be impossible to force Belgium to abandon projects with Russian diamonds, and Hungary – energy projects with Rosatom, since such things are extremely important for the economies of both European countries.
At the same time, according to Natalia Karnova, ordinary citizens of Russia experienced only the overlap of exports of electronics and household appliances to the country. And it’s a matter of price.
This means that officially we will not be able to buy expensive equipment, expensive electronics from Europe, the United States, Japan. But that doesn’t mean we can’t buy it unofficially. Supply channels have already been established,” Karnova added.

Since the recognition of the independence of the LPR and the DPR, sanctions have been imposed on Russia by the West. They have affected almost all spheres of life in the country and will have an impact on its economy for a long time to come.
The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia plans to extend and tighten sanctions until 2025. According to a representative of the ministry, everything depends on the implementation of the decisions on restrictions against the Russian Federation.
