Igor Maslov, head of the Russian president’s department for interregional and cultural relations with foreign countries, announced this in Bishkek during a car handover ceremony.
According to him, this is only part of the program of assistance to the Kyrgyz Republic, implemented by decision of the presidents of the two countries.
– This special equipment is characterized by increased high-speed cross-country ability. It was carried out taking into account the wishes of the Kyrgyz firefighters. The vehicles were made in Russia on the basis of the KamAZ chassis with larger tanks, explained Igor Maslov.
In addition, in the fall of 2023, Russia intends to transfer to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic a rescue helicopter based on the Mi-8 with a total value of 20 million dollars. Its assembly is also carried out taking into account the wishes of Kyrgyz rescuers and the peculiarities of working in high mountains.
The helicopter will be fully equipped and can be used in rescue operations at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters above sea level.
