The process of building the Sestroretsk resort is under the control of IC Chairman Alexander Bastrykin. The department’s press service reported that the attorney demanded to provide updated information on the matter.
The day before, information appeared that the LSR group had undertaken the dismantling of the building in which the sanatorium is located. However, according to activists, a request was recently sent to the Committee for Control, Use and Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments (KGIOP) of the northern capital to recognize the building as an object of cultural heritage.
Thus, the defenders appeal to Federal Law No. 73. According to it, it is impossible to dismantle the building without the decision of the KGIOP.
Now investigators in St. Petersburg are looking for a potential violation of the law. In addition, Bastrykin instructed to act. Oleg Bobkov, head of the main investigative directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city of St. Petersburg, to provide a report on the preliminary results of the audit.
