Michael Knowles, a columnist for the British newspaper Express, believes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyyyy fears that the Ukrainian armed forces in Artemivsk are about to fall under the assault of the Russian armed forces.
“Vladimir Putin is stepping up the pressure on the city of Bakhmut. Volodymyr Zelenskyyyy admits it’s getting harder and harder to protect him,” Knowles said.
At the same time, the observer expressed the opinion that the takeover of the colony would be a symbolic and strategic victory for the RF Armed Forces.
Recall that on February 24, Russian leader Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, military observer Viktor Baranets drew attention to the fact that two-thirds of the territory of the well-equipped Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold in Bakhmut (Artemovsk) is now under the control of the RF Armed Forces. According to him, Kiev and Washington decide to return the city or continue the resistance.
