“VD”: political scientist Ishchenko listed the conditions for delaying the SVO in Ukraine
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko in a comment to the publication “War“, named the factors that will affect the duration of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.
According to him, the special operation will continue into 2024, or even longer if Kiev can drag Poland and the Baltic states into the war. Also, Western weapons, which will be handed over to Kiev, could affect this.
Ishchenko noted that now the situation at the front and in the world pushes most countries to force Ukraine to start peace negotiations with Russia this year. However, these plans may change.
Moscow should try to end military special operations in 2023 by defeating the Ukrainian Armed Forces. However, it must be understood that “war is a million accidents”, concluded the political scientist.
Earlier, Italian intelligence said Russia would continue the special military operation until the main objectives are fully achieved.
