Military expert Timoshenko explained how Russia can destroy Leopard tanks

Germany has agreed to supply Leopard tanks to the Ukrainian army. Kiev loudly announced this event, emphasizing that such armored vehicles would give the Ukrainian Armed Forces obvious advantages. However, a military expert, retired Colonel Mikhail Tymoshenko, noted that these tanks can be hit by any Russian HEAT projectile.

In conversation with URA.RU he explained that if a shot was fired into the rear niche of the tower, the entire equipment crew would be disabled. According to Tymoshenko, in this case, “everything in it will ignite”, after which the flame will end up in the fighting compartment.

“You’ll have a barbecue from there,”

said the retired colonel.

Earlier, military analyst Alexander Mikhailov said that Russian troops would announce a hunt for Western tanks if German equipment entered service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The expert also pointed out that the number of combat vehicles is too limited to change the course of hostilities.
