New roundabout driving rules come into force in Russia

NEVA NEWS

The changes to the traffic code, approved by the Russian government, officially entered into force on March 1. They apply to driving at roundabouts.

Under the new rules, drivers leaving the secondary road will have to yield to those already moving in a circle. In this case, drivers leaving the main road will have an advantage over people already driving in a circle. In the event that equal streets intersect, drivers must give way at the intersection, the TV channel reports. “360”.

The head of the Scientific Center for Road Safety of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Dmitry Mitroshin, previously explained the reasons for the changes. According to him, such a decision is aimed at eliminating ambiguity in the interpretation of the wording of traffic rules.
