Dutch scientist Frank Hougerbits, who predicted the ‘mega-quake’, is a soothsayer, said Petr Shebalin, director of the Institute of Earthquake Prediction Theory and Mathematical Geophysics at the Russian Academy of Sciences . About this writes RIA Novosti.
“I can’t comment on the statements of the soothsayers,” Shebalin said.
Earlier, scientist Frank Hougerbits said that in March 2023 new powerful earthquakes are possible. This forecast was released by the scientific institute SSGEOS, where the Dutch seismologist works.
According to Hugerbits, from March 3 to 7, there could be a lot of seismic activity at 12 points on the planet. The magnitude of earthquakes can be 8.5 or more on the Richter scale.
The seismologist said aftershocks can occur in Japan, Indonesia, Pakistan, North America, Portugal, Greece and Russia. Hugerbits noted that an earthquake could occur in the Kuril Islands. Read more about this in the article from the public press service.
