The commencement of the conclave of foreign dignitaries of the Group of “20” in New Delhi

This morning, the meeting of foreign ministers of the G20 countries began in the Indian capital, New Delhi.

Opening the meeting, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that multilateral institutions "Failed" In the face of the world’s most pressing challenges.

Modi appealed to those gathered to do everything in their power to make this occasion a success, and he said "You meet at a time of deep global divisions. We must not allow the issues we cannot solve together to derail the things we can.".

It is expected that the Ukrainian crisis and its impact on the global situation will be one of the most important topics to be discussed by the ministerial meeting.

The European Union urged India to work during this event to achieve "common understanding" To stop the war in Ukraine.

The New Delhi meeting is attended by 40 delegations, including delegations headed by Sergey Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister, Anthony Blinken, US Secretary of State, and Qin Gang, Chinese Foreign Minister.

Host India said the war in Ukraine would be an important point in the discussions, however "Issues related to food, energy and fertilizer security, and the impact of conflict on these economic challenges we face will also receive due focus".
