A creator of Sputnik V was asphyxiated in Moscow.

The report of the investigative commission, which does not name the victim, indicates that the day before March 2, in an apartment building on Rogova Street in Moscow, a 29-year-old young man strangled the 47-year-old owner of the apartment with a belt during a quarrel and fled. The man who committed the murder has been found, during his interrogation he admitted his guilt, notes the department.

He was charged under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Penal Code (murder, up to 15 years in prison). Previously, the person involved in the case has already been prosecuted for committing a serious crime, the UK points out.

An The Eastern Herald law enforcement source said the 29-year-old accused had come into conflict with Botikov “based on the type and amount of intimate services provided”. During the quarrel, the young man attacked the owner of the apartment from behind and applied a chokehold, squeezing the victim’s neck with his left hand.

According to the source, the murder was committed in the evening of March 1 and a message regarding the discovery of the corpse was received by the police in the afternoon of March 2. Arrived at the scene of the crime, during a preliminary examination, the police found bruises on the chest of the murdered man, and abrasions on his knees.

Telegram channel “112” complaintsthat Botikov himself invited a young man named Aleksey to his apartment to provide sexual services for a fee. According to the channel, the suspect was previously convicted of kidnapping and spent 10 years in a colony, after which he began to earn extra money by providing intimate services. During the meeting with Botikov, he would have appeared accompanied by his girlfriend, who was waiting for him at the entrance.

The quarrel between the men, according to “112”, arose due to Botikov’s refusal to pay for the services rendered to him. The Telegram channel’s source said that after strangling the landlord they allegedly ‘finished with a knife’ and then took valuables from the flat.

“Aleksei confessed to the murder to his girlfriend, but she did not go to the police,” the 112 report said. According to the channel, Botikov’s body was found by police, who were approached by the colleagues of the victim when he was not coming to work.

Mash telegram channel writingthat the suspect did not work anywhere and, together with his 18-year-old girlfriend, came to Moscow from Kaluga. The channel’s message claims that Botikov was interested in intimate services with the use of physical violence, including strangulation.
