A Russian, who has lived in Germany for nine years, reported rising electricity and food prices. At the same time, the man debunked the myth of “Frozen Germans”

An interlocutor of the Like Travel Travel blog spoke about the doubling of electricity prices, up to 54-55 euro cents per kilowatt hour, for heating services – up to 300 euros. However, he assured that people do not freeze.

“Let’s calculate how much the new tariffs will cost the Germans in terms of rubles: electricity – 44 rubles per kilowatt hour (against our 3.6 rubles), heating and water – 24,000 rubles per month,” the blog author calculated.

The man disagreed with the information that the Germans did not have enough money to pay for utilities. According to him, the cost of payment remained the same – 550 euros for a room of 80 square meters.

The blogger said food prices had risen about twice. However, the country’s authorities supported citizens by allocating a number of additional payments. The Germans received a one-time indemnity.

He said that by the summer, the German authorities had promised a number of additional support measures. The man said that if officials promised something, they would definitely fulfill it.
