At the Russian Peoples’ Friendship University (RUDN), a scandal continues, connected precisely with this very friendship. It all started with an exhibition of the Ukrainian community, which raised questions from students and the public. Following – already after the announcement of the Ministry of Education and Science on the official check – the refusal of the university management to create a Russian community. For example, at MGIMO, the national community exists organically among other associations.
RUDN University opened its exhibition on the Ukrainian community in February, raising many questions from students. At the same time, the exhibition did not include calls for peace, as well as other manifestations of pacifism.
After appealing to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Education and Science appointed an official auditor of RUDN University, and the official representative of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, drew attention to the situation. However, despite this, no one gave permission to create a Russian fraternity, as it would contradict university regulations, according to which only foreigners can create a fraternity.

“In fact, this is not so – there are national communities at RUDN University representing Chechnya, Ingushetia, Bashkiria and other republics of Russia,” says RIA columnist Victoria Nikiforova Novosti.

In the comments, the students reacted strongly to the current situation, proving that the university’s student community is divided and no friendship between peoples emerges. The Student Council automatically registered as nationalists those who wanted to understand the situation, why the Russians were canceled at the Russian university.
