Actor Dmitry Nazarov told about the artistic director of the Moscow Art Theater Chekhov, Konstantin Khabensky, who fired him from the theater some time ago. According to him, it was difficult for the director to comment on this act.
Nazarov assured that Khabensky’s decision did not surprise him. According to the actor, his dismissal from the legendary theater was “an exemplary flogging”.
“He clarified that there were no untouchables. We were suddenly deprived of theatre, of filming, of tours in eight cities,” People’s Artist of Russia said in a conversation with Mark Feigin (an individual acting as a foreign agent).
According to him, Khabensky believed to fire the fired actor in the spring, but later said that would not work. Nazarov admitted that the artistic director had difficult conversations “with someone”. Khabensky, according to the “Kitchen” star, was in a difficult position.
Nazarov, together with his wife Olga Vasilyeva, was fired from the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater after anti-Russian statements. The couple left for Israel, where they will soon begin a tour.
