Some Russian stars who have left the country are trying to repeat their success abroad. However, instead of a room full of show business fugitives, constant cancellations of performances await.

On the eve of the premiere, the performance with the participation of Chulpan Khamatova in Riga was canceled. The promoted concerts of former Channel One TV presenters Vladimir Pozner and Ivan Urgant, who intended to win over foreign audiences in Cyprus and Dubai as a duo, have been postponed from February to October, writes News.

Music critic and producer Pavel Rudchenko called the reason for the cancellation of performances of Russian artists abroad. According to the expert, film and stage stars in Russia worked mainly from the state budget, which was distributed independently of performances. Outside their homeland, the escaped creators have faced harsh reality.

“Here are the stars. And who needs them abroad? Here you have to think about how to sell tickets, how to keep the audience. Again, there are not so many of citizens who perceive the context in Russian that they broadcast, “stressed Rudchenko on the airwaves of the Tsargrad. Principal”.

After the start of the special operation, many Russian stars decided to leave the motherland. Producer Eduard Boyakov blamed Channel One’s low ratings on artists who went abroad. It was because of them, in his opinion, that many viewers refused to watch the show on New Year’s Eve, ensuring low ratings for the programs.
