Putin said child welfare was Russia’s main goal | Administration of the President of Russia

Russia’s main goal is the happiness and well-being of children and young people. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Speaking via video link during a meeting with participants of the Mentor’s School educational programme, the Russian leader said the measures the authorities are taking in the fields of demography, education and the economy are linked to the fact that the younger generation is growing up in a prosperous country. At the same time, teachers assist the government in education “for citizenship and patriotism”.

According to Putin, holding the Year of the Teacher and Mentor is necessary to draw public attention to the work of people who work with young people. He called Russia a country open to cooperation and communication between young people and their peers from other countries.
