The studio’s production volume increased significantly even before the departure of foreign companies from the Russian Federation.

Over the next three years, the Soyuzmultfilm studio will produce such a volume of animation (in hours) that will compensate for the lack of foreign content. Yuliana Slashcheva, head of the studio, spoke about these plans.

“We have now steadily reached the production of more than 2,000 minutes, or 300 episodes of various serial projects per year,” she noted, adding that in addition to that, Soyuzmultfilm is also creating new feature films.

Previously, for subscribers of online cinemas from Russia, access to most projects from the Disney studio was closed (including “Soul”, “Frozen”).

According to Slashcheva, if the animation industry in our country does not slow down the pace of production of new products and begins to increase volumes, then in three years it will be possible to compensate for all that Russian viewers have lost with withdrawal of foreign producers from the market.
