Events start tomorrow "Seminar season" In its second edition, which is organized by the Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with Qatar University, the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, and Qatar National Library, during the period from 4 to 19 March, with the participation of a group of intellectuals, thinkers, media professionals, and specialists from inside and outside Qatar. And it ushers "Seminar season" Its first event will be tomorrow with a major poetry evening, which will be performed by the Qatari poet Saleh Al-Mana’a, and the poet Abdullah Alloush from the State of Kuwait, and it will be held at the Sheraton Hotel. The selection of poetry by the Ministry of Culture comes as the first activity "Seminar season", because of the importance of poetry in advancing the literary movement and preserving the intellectual and cultural heritage of societies, as the ministry has been striving to hold activities that touch the aspirations of intellectuals and society to achieve the public interest. The Ministry of Culture published, through its digital platforms, the opinions of a number of intellectuals and thinkers about the importance of the seminar season in its second edition, and the various axes it will present, which will enrich the cultural scene and spark dialogue about various ideas and points of view. For his part, His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, Minister of State and President of Qatar National Library, said: I am confident in the success of the cultural season. He called on everyone to participate, based on the fact that culture is the soul of society, and that when it prevails and deepens in it, development becomes complete. In turn, HE Dr. Hassan Al-Derham, President of Qatar University, said: For the second year in a row, the seminar season is launched in partnership between the Ministry of Culture, Qatar University and the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies. Pointing out that this partnership seeks to fulfill its mission in building the human being. He urged everyone to attend because it is of benefit to them and has an important impact. As for Dr. Mariam Al-Maadeed, Vice President of Qatar University for Research and Graduate Studies, she considered the seminar season a distinguished cultural event. She said: I encourage this communication, which opens new horizons for creativity. For his part, the journalist, Jaber Al-Harami, stressed that everyone is required to be positive elements in supporting initiatives such as "Seminar season", which is organized by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with its partners. Al-Harami said: Culture is an essential pillar in building societies. As for dr. Hassan Rashid, a journalist and theater critic, said: Culture is the true heritage of man and his overflowing spring in this era, so we must attend intellectual, artistic and social gatherings. In her turn, Dr. Buthaina Hassan Al-Ansari, an expert in strategic planning and human development, said: The seminar season is a light in the path of thinkers, opinion-makers and influencers, and a bridge that connects minds and shortens time. As for the poet Hamad bin Saleh Al-Marri, he described the seminar season as opening the doors of knowledge and culture to all, and making the multiple cultural axes an intense dose, as books are the juice of thought and the seminars are the juice of books. This year’s seminar season includes five seminars aimed at promoting dialogue and discussion on important intellectual issues: the “World Cup Cultural Heritage” seminar, the “Islam and Modernity” seminar, the “History of Andalusia” seminar, the “Islamic Architecture and Relationship with Other Arts” seminar, and the “Islamic Architecture and Relationship with Other Arts” seminar.
