Governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit held a meeting of the operational headquarters for the implementation of the medium level of response in the region.

“Together with the Ministry of Defense, the FSB, the border guards, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Russian Guard and other federal and regional authorities, we discussed the current situation at the state border. All necessary decisions have been taken to ensure the safety of residents and guests of our region, the protection of engineering facilities and critical infrastructure,” he said on his Telegram channel.

According to the head of the region, additional forces and resources from the Ministry of Defense are now arriving on the spot. Border areas are under special control. All suspicious people and objects should be reported immediately by calling 112.
