A police search in the capital region for Stefán Arnari Gunnarsson, a 44-year-old man who was last seen on Thursday afternoon, was called off today without success.
The search continued today and, like yesterday, Álftanes was searched and many people participated in the search. Police continued to be assisted by the National Police Commissioner’s Special Unit, Metropolitan Fire Service, Coast Guard and paramedics. The search was extensive, as it was yesterday, and included the use of helicopters, drones, boats and divers.
The search has now been suspended until Monday unless new evidence reaches police.
