The International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk” is the largest cultural forum uniting countries and continents. The desire for spiritual unity of peoples emphasizes the motto of the festival “Through art – towards peace and mutual understanding!”. The festival has long crossed the borders of the Slavic world. Representatives from five continents participated in the International Arts Festival. Throughout the festival’s history, representatives from 70 countries have performed there. The festival also hosts State of the Union Day.
“Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk” updated its corporate identity this year. The decoration of the festival products will be a new logo, in the development of which everyone can participate on a competitive basis. Shades of lilac and pink became the dominant colors of the festival’s emblem. When updating the logo, the design of Vitebsk resident Anna Tavolzhanskaya was taken as the basis.“The bright color of cornflower is a symbol of musical summer,” says Anna. “The concept is based on a wave that, in a stormy flow, carries a variety of creative forms and genres that form a whole sea of fresh ideas.”The festival “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk” is multifaceted, its events take place in concert, theater and exhibition venues. But the most awaited event is the contest of performers of pop songs. Artists between the ages of 18 and 31 are allowed to participate (a children’s competition is held for the youngest participants), who have already managed to establish themselves and passed the preliminary selection.Performers who have reached the semi-finals must submit to the judgment of the international jury and the public a song written by the composer of the country they represent. The finalists will perform a composition written by a Slavic author and a world hit. The members of the jury determine the winner of the Grand Prize, as well as the winners and graduates of the competition. The Grand Prize winner receives $20,000. Who will represent Russia at the competition will be known on March 28 after the end of the domestic qualifying competition.
