Chairman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group Cherevaty said there was no mass withdrawal of troops from Bakhmut

There is no massive withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Bakhmut (Artemivsk), Serhiy Cherevaty, a representative of the Eastern Group of Ukrainian Armed Forces, said in an interview with CNN.

According to him, the fighting in the city is on the outskirts.

“Ukrainian troops are changing positions in Bakhmut under controlled planned rotations,” he said, commenting on reports that some units were withdrawing.


Cherevaty also said that on the eve military operations were carried out in the villages of Vasyukovka and Dubovo-Vasylivka north of Bakhmut and in the villages of Ivanovskoye and Bogdanovka in the west.

Russian war correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny said earlier that Wagner pushed Ukrainian armed forces into central Artemovsk (Bakhmut) , with Ukraine withdrawing its forces.
