Since the beginning of the year, 8 patients with severe drug poisoning have been hospitalized at the Kaluga emergency hospital. The number was 36 last year, according to the regional health ministry.

“Since the beginning of this year, 8 patients with severe drug poisoning have been hospitalized at the BSMP. Last year, the emergency therapy department accepted 36 such patients for treatment,” the report said.

It should be noted that all drug addicts are at risk of contracting serious viral diseases, including HIV, AIDS and hepatitis. These diseases are incurable and there is no vaccine for them.
