Almost 30 million rubles were transferred to online scammers from Bryansk

Last week, 86 residents of the Bryansk region fell victim to virtual scammers. In general, they transferred 29,947,000 rubles to scammers. This was reported in the press service of the regional Interior Ministry.

It should be noted that the most common episodes are still phone calls allegedly from banking professionals. After victims willingly shared their account and bank card details with unknown callers, they lost their life savings. Thus, almost 29 million rudders were written off from the gullible Bryantsev.

Social media scams continue. So, a 33-year-old resident of the Starodubsky district, after a message from her friend’s account, decided to lend her 60,000 rubles. It’s just hacking into a friend’s page, he found out later, when he wired the money.

The deceptive schemes on online classifieds sites are no less relevant. 13 residents lost more than a million rubles, wanting to use the services of various specialists, as well as buying or selling spare parts for vehicles, household appliances and other goods.
