The Danish Ministry of Defense issued a press release stating that the Danish Ministry of Defense has banned its employees from using the TikTok app on their official devices. Those who have already installed the app should uninstall it.

The decision was made based on a recommendation from the Cybersecurity Center, according to a press release.

In February, the Council of the EU, the European Commission and the European Parliament asked their employees not to install the TikTok application on devices that store passwords for electronic services of European Union institutions. The European Commission and the Council of the EU mentioned that the requirement only applies to desktop devices, the European Parliament banned the installation of the application on personal smartphones. The institutes explained their request by saying that Chinese intelligence agencies can use the app to obtain information.
