Mexico can bring the US South ‘back to its home port’ – expert

The United States will soon begin to form its own monetary zone.

Such a forecast was voiced by economist Mikhail Khazin, according to DEITA.RU news agency with reference to YouTube channel Ulitsa Pravdy.

According to him, if this really starts to happen, then, logically, the United States will have to include Mexico in its macro-region. This step, in turn, will require, if not the complete elimination of borders between countries, at least a serious weakening of the access regime. And here, as the expert notes, an extremely interesting situation may arise.

“Mexico can take over all of the southern United States, especially since those territories historically belonged to that particular country. They were taken from him during the war. But in the case of the unification of the United States and Mexico into a single monetary zone, it cannot be excluded that in the end the southern states of America will return “to their native port”, that is- i.e. they are backing off,” Khazin explained.

Moreover, as noted by the expert, the disconnection of the South from the United States and its joining in Mexico will become an increasingly realistic prospect as the popularity of Latin American politicians in the United States itself same will grow. Already now, their influence is extremely large, and it is constantly increasing, noted the economist.
