The Bank of Russia has extended restrictions on foreign currency cash withdrawals for natural and legal persons until September 9, 2023.
“All current limits on the issuance of foreign currencies are maintained,” the regulator said in a statement.
The Central Bank reminded that no more than 10,000 dollars or the equivalent in euros can be withdrawn from a foreign currency bank account opened before March 9, 2022, the balance can be received in cash in rubles. The Central Bank noted that the ban on banks charging a commission to citizens when issuing currency is also extended for six months.
In addition, the Central Bank reminded that Russian banks can sell to citizens US dollars or euros received at the box office from April 9, 2022. There are currently no restrictions on the sale of other foreign currencies .
