According to John Bolton, former national security adviser to the President of the United States, the country’s authorities should reconsider their policy regarding nuclear warheads and their delivery systems in light of possible confrontations with Russia and China. It is reported by the Washington Post.
Bolton warns of the possibility of a “nuclear confrontation” with Russia or China. At the same time, Washington cannot rely on other countries and hope for arms control agreements. He believes it is better to have nuclear weapons on hand and limit them if necessary than to have insufficient warheads, allowing Russia and China to dictate the terms.
Bolton also notes that some countries, such as Iran and North Korea, view Russia and China as friendly states, while the United States, Britain and France view them as enemies.
