Frosts down to -18 degrees will hit the Leningrad region on March 8

Cloudy weather with sunny spells, heavy snowfalls and frosts are expected in the Leningrad region on March 8. This was reported in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the 47th region.

At night, the thermometer will show from seven to 12 degrees below zero, in some places it will be even colder – down to minus 18 degrees. During the day, the air will warm up to plus one – minus four degrees. At night and in the morning, the east and southeast wind will blow at a speed of eight to 13 meters per second. Towards evening, it will change direction to the south and southwest and blow at a speed of five to ten meters per second.

The roads are icy. Atmospheric pressure will decrease.

Earlier, “MK in the Leningrad region” reported that the yellow level of weather danger was announced in the 47th region due to a snowstorm until the evening of March 8.
