“Kuban” footballers lost to “Rubin”

Krasnodar Kuban failed to score points in the first official game of 2023. In the home match of the 21st round of Melbet-First League, the yellow-greens lost to one of the tournament leaders on the score of 1:2.

The match brought together 877 spectators.

Rubin’s Alexander Zotov scored in the 43rd minute, but before the break Nouri Abdokov equalized with an accurate free kick.

At the start of the second half, the winning goal was scored by defender Rubin Alexei Gritsaenko, whose previous club was Kuban. He also played for Krasnodar in his career.

The yellow-greens still have 19 points, the team has dropped to 16th place. Rubin moved into second place with 40 points.

On March 13, “Kuban” will play away against third-placed “Alania” from Vladikavkaz.

Also in the 21st round, Krasnodar-2 played a draw in the snow against Akron.
