The bank admitted the possibility of leaving the Russian Federation a year ago, but this did not happen. The head of the Austrian diplomatic department said that the financial institution itself can decide on the issue of its withdrawal from Russia.
“I have contacts with RBI (the headquarters of Raiffeisen Bank International. – RBC), which ultimately has to decide for itself how it behaves here. In my view, so far the bank has acted reasonably, waiting for developments until all scenarios are considered,” the minister said.
RBC writes that less than a month ago, the bank received a request from the US Treasury Department, in which experts asked “to clarify the payment activities and related processes supported by Raiffeisenbank”. The focus is of course on the question of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Earlier it became known that the director and actress Renata Litvinova, who left Russia after the start of SVO in Ukraine, appeared in public in a new unusual image. She posted the photos on social media.
