Therapist Svetlana Eremeeva commented on the disappointing news about the health of hospitalized figure skater Roman Kostomarov and assessed the possibility of amputating the athlete’s left hand.
Eremeeva believes that repeated necrosis may be caused by circulatory system problems and sepsis. In the event of thrombosis, the small vessels responsible for the limbs also suffer. The doctor called for cleaning Kostomarov’s blood half measures, which allowed to postpone the death of the fingers only for a while.
“It is not repeated gangrene, not a continuation of the fingers, but a new turn, if it is already starting to turn blue and lose sensitivity, then it is extremely difficult to stop. Most often there is only one way out – amputation,” Eremeeva told the publication. Woman.ru.
Kommunarka doctors still assess Kostomarov’s condition as serious, although the skater regains consciousness. Information appeared on the web that the athlete’s left hand began to turn blue and lose sensitivity, so the doctors started talking about amputation again.
