“Air-launched hypersonic missiles, the Tsirkon sea-launched hypersonic missile is being tested. In addition, it will soon receive its land component. A hypersonic missile up to 1000 km overcomes any missile defense of an existing enemy. Nothing can takes the speed of Mach 9 from the Americans. The second direction is the air defense and missile defense system. The Americans are seriously behind in their creation, ”explained Alexander Mikhailov.

According to the expert, the Americans have never invested in short-range anti-aircraft missile (SAM) systems. They put more emphasis on mid-range weapons. They also have long-range sea-based systems, but in the absence of weapons, “less range” doesn’t matter much.
