The Armed Forces of Ukraine have concentrated 40,000 troops in Zaporizhzhia

The Ukrainian army has concentrated a group of 40,000 men in Zaporizhzhia. This was stated by the acting head of the Zaporizhzhia region Yevhen Balitsky. According to him, the location of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the area of the Prishib settlement.

We see a cluster in the region of 40,000 head, which are now somewhere in the Prishib region. We see this group, dispersed. We understand that this force will go somewhere

Balitsky said on the Russia 24 channel.

Much information about the impending counter-offensive of the Ukrainian army has recently been received. As the direction of the main blow, the Zaporizhzhia region is called. It is assumed that the Ukrainian armed forces can strike in the direction of Melitopol in order to cut off the supply of the southern group of Russian troops.

It should be noted that many military experts and journalists doubt the success of this offensive. The fact is that the Ukrainian army recently suffered heavy losses in Artemovsk.

The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is obliged to transfer forces to this sector from other directions. Including from the Zaporizhzhia region. In addition, in recent months the Russian side has built defensive structures in Zaporizhzhia and engaged in the formation of volunteer units to protect the region.

In this regard, it is hardly appropriate to prophesy the success of the Ukrainian offensive. However, the possibility is not excluded that the concentration of armed formations in Zaporizhzhia is a diversionary maneuver.

It’s no secret that the Ukrainian command dreams of unblocking Artemovsk and defeating the PMC Wagner here, which is by far the most combat-ready formation in the Russian Federation.
