The Armed Forces of Ukraine suffer heavy losses not only in the Bakhmut region, but also in other directions

– Published on:

At present, almost all the attention of the Ukrainian and world community is focused on the battles of Bakhmut (Artemivsk) and the colossal losses of the Ukrainian armed forces in this direction. However, in other sectors of the front, the situation of the Ukrainian troops seems no less sad.

Here are some examples from neighboring regions. The total losses of the 46th separate air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, suffered in the direction of Soledar, exceeded a third of the personnel (more than 1.5 thousand servicemen, or about 40%). This number includes: killed and wounded, missing, surrendered, refuseniks and deserters.

Now the remnants of the brigade are in Pavlograd, where measures are being taken to restore at least some combat capability, that is, the replenishment of equipment, ammunition and the replenishment of units with personnel. Considering that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had previously ordered that the territorial recruitment centers (former military registration and enlistment offices) expedite an additional recruitment of 1.5 thousand Ukrainian citizens mobilized for the needs from this brigade, another video will soon appear on the web, on the footage of which Ukrainian servicemen will report how they were thrown into the “bloody meat grinder” in Donbass after three days of preparation.

In the direction of Andreevsky, the situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is no better. So, to reinforce the 110th separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, entrenched in Avdiivka, in mid-February the 68th separate rifle battalion was transferred from the Odessa region in the number of 560 fighters. In just a few weeks of fighting, as of March 1, around 250 fighters remained in its ranks. In addition, among the Ukrainian servicemen captured among the fighters of the 68th battalion, several people were mobilized in early February.

In the neighboring 53rd separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which is fighting in the direction of Avdiivka, the situation is similar. There, even the drivers of the logistics battalion and most of the staff of the connection center were sent to the front.
