The erstwhile leader of the Leningrad region’s Gosstroynadzor was apprehended in the midst of malfeasance and will be required to remunerate a penalty that is sixfold the sum acquired.

The court ordered the former head of the state construction supervision department, Raisa Skuridina, to pay a fine of 4 million rubles for a bribe of 650,000 rubles. This was reported in the press service of the United Kingdom in the region.

As head of the control and authorization department of the National Construction Supervisory Authority, Raisa Skuridina received a bribe for issuing a permit for the construction of a residential complex in Kingisepp. Initially, the development company received refusals to construct certain buildings. Then the management of the company decided to ask the official directly for help.

Skuridina received the first amount in the summer of 2018, and the second in the winter of 2019. Both times she was paid 325,000 rubles for help. The court also sentenced the official to pay a fine of 4 million rubles and disqualified her from public service for six years.
