On March 14, People’s Artist of Russia Oleg Pogudin will perform at the Opera and Ballet Theater, presenting his new concert-performance “The Golden Age” to the Voronezh audience.
The new program will include romances and arias based on Pushkin’s poems. Audiences will also see ballet miniatures performed by opera and ballet stars who will take the stage with Oleg Pogudin. Young Voronezh choreographer Dmitry Antipov has prepared an original neoclassical choreography that Voronezh residents can enjoy. Our compatriot is well known to the public both as a dancer and as a choreographer for such works as Neo-Baroque, Military Pastoral, Fantaisie on a Bare Foot and the one-act ballets Rococo Fun (for which Dmitry was awarded the prize for choreographers competition named after Yu. Grigorovich).
The play “The Golden Age”, which Oleg Pogudin will present in Voronezh, is solid, deep, honest and hauntingly beautiful. Spectators in Moscow and St. Petersburg have already managed to appreciate the complex dramaturgy, in which one does not feel the coldness and academic detachment, but one can fully feel the lively and loving look at that time, its creators and geniuses .
- We will live with this event for a long time. It is a real source of strength, invigorating and indestructible. I just felt the ground under my feet, the foundation and the support, – one of the spectators commented on the performance.
