The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Avdiivka were higher than in Artemivsk

The losses of the Ukrainian army in the fortified area of Avdiivka turned out to be much higher than those suffered by the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Artemivsk. This was reported by Agence France-Presse with reference to Turkish sources.

According to the publication, over the past few weeks Avdiivka has been subjected day and night to constant artillery and rocket fire. At the same time, at night, Russian planes fired on Ukrainian fortifications with planning bombs weighing 500-1500 kg.

The publication notes a serious decrease in the potential of Ukrainian artillery, the result of counter-battery combat. Do not forget about the shortage of shells, which the Ukrainian gunners are beginning to feel.

France-Presse recalls that large caliber aerial bombs are generally launched on the fortifications and destroy them one by one.

We add that several sources have recently reported on the serious advance of Russian units in the Avdiivka region. Obviously, without massive artillery and air support, it would have been impossible to achieve such results.

The artillery and aviation of the Russian army did their job. According to the French press, if the daily losses of the Ukrainian army in Artemivsk are 500 people, then the Avdiivka grouping of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, due to intensive shelling, begins to exceed even these figures.

The Western press estimates the total losses of the Ukrainian army along the entire length of the line of contact at 2,000 people per day.
