If the Russian authorities continue to plug the holes in the federal budget, mainly by spending the accumulated reserves, they will run out during this year.
This opinion was expressed by economist Mikhail Delyagin, according to the DEITA.RU news agency with reference to the “Moscow speaks” radio station.
According to him, the leaders of the country must be aware that any “pod”, even if it is the economies of the whole state, will sooner or later end, and then the whole country could find itself in an extremely vulnerable position. .
At the same time, as the specialist noted, at the moment there are no other ways to significantly slow down the spending of NWF funds, except for the introduction of austerity measures. However, such a policy is fraught with its subtleties.
For example, cuts in funding for social programs can cause widespread public discontent and undermine citizens’ trust in authorities, which under current conditions is completely unnecessary for the current government.
