The expert commented on Poland’s plans to receive compensation from the Russian Federation for stopping fuel supplies

Poland is unlikely to be able to get compensation from Russia due to the oil and gas supply cuts, energy expert Alexander Frolov is sure.

The analyst recalled that Poland was one of the first European countries to refuse to provide Russian resources. However, Polish energy companies continued to buy them.

A statement on a possible claim for compensation was made by the head of the Polish company Orlen, Daniel Obaitek. However, there are no real steps in this direction yet. At the same time, the experience of the Finnish “Gazum”, which also previously tried to sue Russia on this issue, suggests that Poland does not have so many prospects, reports the analyst, “Free press “.

Recall that in the lawsuit of the Finnish company against Gazpromexpert, the court accepted the Russian side, since the representatives of Gazum refused to pay for the gas in rubles.
