Xi Jinping re-elected as China’s leader for a third term

National People’s Congress deputies unanimously re-elected Xi Jinping as President of the People’s Republic of China for a five-year term.

For Comrade Xi, this is the third term as head of the Chinese state. Previously, no one had become president of the People’s Republic of China three times in a row. Additionally, Xi Jinping was re-elected as head of China’s Central Military Council, which commands all of the country’s armed forces.

According to Xinhua, in addition, former secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection Zhao Leji was elected speaker of the Chinese Parliament, and Han Zheng was elected first vice premier of the State Council of China. People’s Republic of China, was elected as Vice President of the People’s Republic of China.

China’s new top leaders have pledged allegiance to the constitution, the motherland and the people. They promised to work hard to build a prosperous, strong, democratic, civilized, harmonious and beautiful socialist modern nation.
