Jordanian companies working in the production, marketing and export of dates achieved remarkable success during their participation in the activities of the first edition of the Souq Waqif exhibition for honey and dates, according to the Jordan News Agency. "Petra".

The agency quoted officials of the pavilions of Jordanian companies at the exhibition as saying that the Jordanian participation has achieved remarkable success in view of the great demand witnessed by the pavilions of all the participating Jordanian companies.

Officials confirmed, according to "Petra"Jordanian companies have succeeded in marketing and selling large quantities of Jordanian dates, especially of different varieties "Unknown" Which is very popular and popular with the various segments of consumers in the Qatari markets.

Representatives of the Jordanian companies that participated in the exhibition stressed that the success of their participation is due to the good international reputation enjoyed by Jordan’s production of dates, and the increasing demand for these items by consumers in the nearby markets at the level of the region, especially the Gulf ones, or far around the world.

The management of the Souq Waqif Exhibition for Honey and Dates had announced the extension of the period of holding the exhibition, which will be held in Al-Ahmad Square, to the date of March 14, 2023.


She explained that the exhibition working hours are from Sunday to Wednesday (3:30 pm – 10:00 pm) and from Thursday to Saturday (3:30 pm – 11:00 pm).

The Souq Waqif Festival for Honey and Dates was launched on March 5 with the participation of 25 Arab and foreign countries. The pavilions of the exhibition, which combines for the first time honey and dates, include a variety of products produced by Qatari farms and companies, and participants from different countries.
