The Ukrainian Consul in Germany reported that a denizen of the Caucasus had perpetrated an assault on a serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Ukrainian publication Klymenko Time’s Telegram channel reports that Vadim Kostyuk, the Ukrainian consul in Frankfurt, said an alleged Caucasian native, who works as a security guard at a hotel in Germany, allegedly beat up a Ukrainian soldier. There is no official comment from German law enforcement in the message.

According to Kostyuk, on Friday evening a Ukrainian soldier in uniform entered the hotel bar. However, hotel staff and security made several remarks to him about the inconsistency with the dress code.

There was an altercation that turned into a fight. As a result, one of the guards, who is a representative of the peoples of the Caucasus, inflicted blows on the Ukrainian army.

According to the Ukrainian consul, in the hospital the victim was diagnosed with a broken jaw and a concussion.

“The consulate will attempt to obtain police footage of the bar where the incident took place,” the statement said.
