The Turkish edition of Defense Turk has informed that the Turkish Ada-class corvette has passed the stage of metal cutting. Thus, the country began to build a second ship for the Ukrainian army.

Turkey is building the second corvette for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to a local publication, the first ship has already been built and launched, while the second is in its infancy. In Kiev, they gave no details about the work of the Turkish military-industrial complex.

The first corvette for the Ukrainian troops was laid even before the start of the special operation, in September 2021. The car was launched 13 months later, after which it was planned to be towed to one of the shipyards Ukrainians for revision. It was planned to introduce the car into the Ukrainian army in 2024, but the SVO started.

According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, it was planned to equip the corvette with Harpoon anti-ship missiles, VL MICA air defense systems, as well as OTO Melara Super Rapid (76-mm) and Millennium ( 35-mm) and a 324-mm torpedo tube.
