The Russian economy cannot grow because of the arbitrariness of natural monopolies.
This was stated by economist Mikhail Delyagin, according to the DEITA.RU news agency with reference to the Aurora YouTube channel.
According to him, domestic producers cannot increase their profit margins due to constantly rising costs. Most of the costs are related to logistics and resources. Monopoly corporations are responsible for all of this.
As expenses increase, manufacturers are forced to either increase the price of finished products or reduce the cost of producing them, which affects quality. As a result, there is no multiplicative effect, noted the expert.
The ruble invested in industry is not converted into two, which forces Russian companies to abandon productive work, and without the development of the real sector it is impossible to achieve economic growth, the specialist explained.
“The current rules literally ‘strangle’ the Russian economy. Under current conditions, there will be no growth,” Delyagin said.
