Roadmap for cooperation with Belarus signed in Tehran – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

During a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, the Belarusian leader assured that Minsk would do everything necessary to respect the signed agreements. “You can count on us”, underlined the President of the Republic of Belarus.

The agreement on the elaboration and preparation of this document, specifies the agency, was concluded during the meeting between Lukashenko and Ebrahim Raisi in September 2021 on the sidelines of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The roadmap provides for comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic, consular, scientific and technical fields, as well as in the field of education, culture, art, media and tourism.

In addition, following the Heads of State talks in Tehran, an action plan was signed on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Iran, an intergovernmental cooperation in the field of quarantine and plant protection, an agreement on the transfer of persons sentenced to imprisonment for the continuation of their sentence.
The parties also amended the intergovernmental agreement on international automotive relations of February 4, 1998, fixing it in the corresponding protocol.

Memoranda of understanding were signed between the Ministry of Culture of Belarus and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran, between the co-chairmen of the Belarusian-Iranian Commission for Economic Cooperation on Trade Issues , as well as between the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus and the Iranian National Organization for Standardization, news portals report.
