The State Duma said that Russia will not ban Ukrainian culture. MP Oleg Matveychev spoke about it.

Oleg Matveychev, deputy chairman of the State Duma committee on information policy, information technology and communications, said this in an interview with a URA.RU correspondent.

“Even if a Ukrainian song in Russia sounded on a real children’s matinee, there would be no bans on it. It can be said that this person in charge of this institution, kindergarten or school does not understand the political moment very well, and that there is no need to provoke all these things now, and to ask him questions personally. We are not going to cancel poetry, culture, ”said Oleg Matveychev.

Matveychev says that Russia will not follow the example of the Ukrainian or American Nazis who decided to abolish Russia. These people are certainly not an example for us, and therefore we will not indulge in any cancel culture.

Earlier it became known that Ukrainian Culture Minister Oleksandr Tkachenko called the idea of renaming Russia Muscovy “cute”. But, as he believes, it is important to discuss this issue with experts.
