A denizen of Novomoskovsk for an eighteen-month period has petitioned for the abrogation of the penalty for not donning a visage-covering.

A resident of Novomoskovsk for a year and a half has asked for the cancellation of the fine for not wearing a mask. She reached the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. In February of this year, the case was considered.

The protocol for the woman was established on August 6, 2021. She was without a mask in the “Passage” shopping center. Apparently News from Tula, at that time the mask regime was in force in the region. The district court issued a decision on a fine of 1000 rubles. The decisions were challenged before the regional courts, then before the Court of Cassation, three days before the abolition of the mask regime in the Tula region.

However, the defendant appealed to the Supreme Court, demanding that the decision to impose a fine be reversed. The court’s decision was overturned. The proceedings against a resident of Novomoskovsk have been closed.
