A Russian woman who left for the winter in Thailand spoke about the dengue fever situation

A Russian woman who decided to spend the winter in Thailand told how the situation in the resort changed due to tropical dengue fever.

The woman said she is now resting on the island of Koh Phangan. Once it exploded because of the air conditioner that was running on the bus. Arrived at the pharmacy, she asked for the necessary medicines. However, she was told she was suffering from dengue fever and advised to see a doctor.

“I went there, the money was stolen for the PCR, dengue was not found. But they said I was in danger. Like all foreigners who have lived in Thailand for a long time, and not in hotels, but in the private sector. Like, Thai people themselves are familiar, but people like me are unfamiliar,” the Russian woman said in an interview with mk.ru .

According to her, local doctors just want tourists to pay for expensive PCR tests. However, you can only get this infection from living in places near standing water, where garbage is rarely taken out.
