In Kaliningrad, pavestones will be employed for the refurbishment of footpaths.

In Kaliningrad, the local authorities intend to lay paving stones as part of repair works on the sidewalks. Currently, a number of streets are already being prepared for the upcoming road reconstruction. They want to put paving stones there. We are talking about such streets as Krasnaya and Teatralnaya.

It is planned to use cobblestones in this area to bring the roads to the historical concept of the city, as well as an attractive street design. Andrey Anisimov, the city’s chief architect, spoke about it on Baltic Plus.

During the rehabilitation of the sidewalks of the regional center, “fragments or historical artifacts” will be preserved. Also, the remaining pieces, if they have value, will try to fit in as much as possible.

Earlier, MK in Kaliningrad reported that 10 companies had applied for tenders to dismantle the House of Soviets in Kaliningrad.
